Partner Success Manager - California

Job Description

The Partner Success Manager will help California partner districts streamline internal processes, meet compliance obligations, and improve instruction for English Learners. In this role, you will work closely with our Partner Support, Data Integration, and Product teams to broaden district adoption and expand partnerships in order to achieve company revenue targets. You will also spearhead the year-to-year expansion in partnerships with districts. Most importantly, you will help thousands of educators take advantage of a software solution that helps EL students achieve their highest aspirations.

The Partner Success Manager will build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the district to ensure mastery on the Ellevation software platform. In doing so, Ellevation users will be better able to implement online monitoring and reclassification processes,  and will be able to leverage Ellevation’s best-in-class Strategies product to support instruction for ELs. We are looking for someone who wants to be in an early stage organization, has tremendous communication skills, is motivated, proactive, and a self-starter.

  • Accurately assess and analyze partner needs and work collaboratively with the district team to develop solutions;
  • Communicate consistently with district leaders to ensure the ongoing use of Ellevation, gather feedback, share new features, and address challenges;
  • Develop & execute territory-level sales strategy focused on exceeding expansion revenue goals;
  • Work collaboratively with our Product and Engineering teams, communicating observations and feedback from district partners to help inform future product development efforts;
  • Monitor and maintain high levels of partner satisfaction, while managing partner expectations.
  • Travel requirements: ~30%
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Passion for driving change in education;
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the California education space, including topics related to  English Learners, the ELA/ELD framework, and Local Control Accountability Plans;
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills to help districts overcome barriers and maximize the use of Ellevation;
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with audiences of all levels;
  • Strong listening and questioning skills to gain a strategic understanding of partner needs and challenges;
  • Proven competency in identifying value-based opportunities for the partners; advocating partner needs internally and externally;
  • Ability to succeed in a competitive selling environment;
  • The motivation and drive to be successful through continuous personal improvement;
  • Adaptable self-starter who is skilled at creating structure in ambiguous environments;
  • Strong leadership skills, including a history of increasing leadership responsibility and career growth in previous professional settings;
  • Ability to travel as needed for conferences & strategic opportunities;
  • Given the nature of our work with English Learners, bilingual candidates are preferred;
  • Experience in education technology sales is not necessary, but preferred.
